Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palatte Swatches

Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette...soooo excited.
I had been contemplating purchasing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette for a while. However, swatches online always seemed far too warm to be true contour shades.
So, when I saw this palettes more cool neutral shades, I knew this was the one for me.

The packaging is very sturdy and hard, with a magnetic closure. It also has good size mirror, which almost spans the whole palette.
However, the lid does fold back, meaning the mirror does not sit up on it's own and must be propped up.

The shade names are displayed on the back of the palette, rather than alongside the pans themselves.

The top row consists of matte highlights, with the bottom matte contour shades.

The highlight pans contains 0.08oz of product each.
Lucid - Pinkish Nude
Lyric - Yellow Beige
Levitation - Soft Peach. Neutral flesh tone.
I would have preferred these shades to be a little more pigmented, as you can see. They all look almost identical.

The shade pans contain 0.16oz pf product each.
Sombre - True Taupe. Next to it is a small swatch of the NYX Blush in Taupe and as you can see they are almost identical. Sombre being slightly warmer toned.
Shadowplay - Soft Brown. More of a bronzing shade,as it is the warmest of the three shades.
Subconscious - Deep Brown. A chocolate shade perfect for deeper ladies.

These powders are very soft, buttery and are extremely pigmented, so make sure to use a light hand. However, they blend with incredible ease.
Unfortunately, as they are so soft they do kick up quiet a lot of powder. So, be prepared to get a little messy.

This palette is brilliant for any contouring enthusiast or pro's.
However, if you are a beginner in contouring I would stick the NYX Blush in Taupe, as this palette is very pigmented and it would be easy for a beginner to overdo it.

Overall, this is a lovely palette...though I would have loved it even more if it didn't cost $46
Will I be keeping this baby...nope. I do enjoy this palette. However, I do not contour enough to justify having it sit in my collection, though I am glad to have played around with it.

Tarte Tartelette Palette & Celebrated Blush Swatches

Hey guys, I have close up's of the new Tarte Tartlette palette and Celebrated Blush.
They are so so pretty.
I purchased them online from Sephora costing me $44 for the palette and $26 for the blush (not including tax).
Both are infused with Amazonian Clay and are free of Parabens & Phthalates.

The packaging of the palette is lovely with it's purple gradient and gold script.
It is very sturdy and the lid clicks into place. Great for travel as it is compact and lightweight.
Each pan is 1.5g.

This palette comprises of 12 stunning all matte shades that range from your basic browns to muted purple's.

Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer & Multi-Tasker

Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend & Bombshell

Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player & Fashionista (incredible pigmentation).

As you can see from the swatches, these shadows are well pigmented. They are soft and easy to blend.
However, Best Friend and Bombshell were harder to work with as they applied patchy. Bombshell in particular was harder to blend.
Otherwise, the rest of the shades were a dream to work with and overall it is a versatile palette that anyone could use.

The Tartelette Celebrated Blush is identical in size and weight (5.6g) as the original Amazonian Clay Blushes.

This blush is a delicate muted pastel peach shade...does that make sense? Haha
Perfect for all you fair ladies.

However, this blush is a lot softer than the original blushes and it kicked up quiet a bit of powder. It just about shows up on my skin tone and blends well.

Here is the eye look I created with the palette. It kinda looks like the packaging right? haha
Caregiver on the inner half of the lid, Best Friend on the outer half, Bombshell on the outer V and lower lash line.
I also used Force of Nature as a transition shade, Super Mom to highlight the brow bone and Free Spirit in the inner corner of the eyes.

This is the completed look using the Celebrated blush.

Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for looking ^.^

MEMEBOX x PONY Shine Easy Glam 2 Swatches

Hey guys welcome back.
Today I have close up swatches of the Pony Shine Easy Glam 2 palette.

As you can see, it is considerably smaller than it's predecessor.

Here is my video on the palette if you'd rather watch, than read through this.

This palette consists of shimmer and satin/metallic shades. SHINE = Shimmer & GLAM = Satin/Metallic

Shine Peach - Pale peachy pink shade with iridescent shimmer. This is my favourite shade in the palette.
Glam Violet - Satin purple. This is the sheerest of all the shades, which is disappointing as it's a lovely colour.
Shine Rose - Warm rosy pink with gold shimmer.
Shine Beige - Warm shimmery beige.

Shine Dew - Sheer white packed with silver shimmer.
Glam Mocha - A deep bronze in a satin finish.
Glam Choco - Dark chocolate shade in a satin finish.
Glam Bronze - Light bronze, with a sheerer satin finish.

If I had to choose between the first and second palette, I would definitely say the second. This palette has both your basic neutral shades with added pop's of colour. It is an absolute shimmer fest of a palette, so if that isn't your kinda thing. I'd say go for the first palette instead.

I hope these swatches are to your liking and thanks for looking.
